Packet analyser

I need to analyse some UDP packets being sent from two related applications to make sure they are roughly the same (both are wake-on-lan packets). Had a look around and found wireshark. I was wondering if anyone can recomend any other software - or shall I go with wireshark ?

If you are looking for alternatives there is always Network Monitor for Windows systems, but I would go with Wireshark.

Another vote for Wireshark or packetyzer which is another open source one and can be slightly easier to use for network traces.
