danIT Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 I have heard through the grape vine that the Becta have released guidance on methods of Authentication online based on the level of sensitivity of the data the user is viewing. For instance user logs into School Portal where they can access links to school website, email and SIMS webparts. As soon as they attempt to access the SIMS webparts or data contained within they need to provide a higher level of authentication. In essence it would not be enough to provide another password at this point. Has anyone found this on the Becta website?
Diello Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Sounds like their Data Security guidance: Becta Schools - Leadership and Management - Security - Data handling security guidance for schools 1
