browolf Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 it doesnt seem to work, immediately after pressing install, it has a bunch of writing that ends in "end trace" and then stops...
srochford Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Or virtual box (VMWare works but seems to eat CPU and RAM; everytime I start up a VM my host machine just hangs for about 10 minutes!) It's really annoying that the virtual machine provided by Virtual Server is so limited - on the whole, I like the way MS VS works and would like to use it for all my trial VMs.
browolf Posted November 28, 2008 Author Posted November 28, 2008 its kind of slow on vmware. i tried virtual box on my own pc the other week but couldnt get the networking to work. maybe cos my machine is multihomed I dont know. only thing is now i got vmware server & virtual server running on the same server at the same time :-S
temporary1144 Posted November 29, 2008 Posted November 29, 2008 Hit F6 and type "noreplace-paravirt vga=771". 1
AngryTechnician Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 (edited) What he said. I also add i8042.noloop clock=pit to mine as per this guide to installing 7.10 on Virtual PC. Edited November 30, 2008 by AngryTechnician
