fafster Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Both my phone and laptop support Bluetooth version 2.0 with EDR. This means am maximum theoretical performance of 3mbps, but real-world along 2.1mbps. Therefore, I would expect my phone and laptop to communicate at 2150kbps (268KBps) or thereabouts, but instead the maximum I can get is 115kbps according to XP networking. Being able to download files at around 320kbps (40KBps) is a little puzzling though. Anyone know what's going on?
SYNACK Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 The bluetooth software stack that came with your laptop may not be able to fully use the 2.0 standard. Bluetooth support is very rarely done well in my opinion. If this is the problem you may be able to get full data rate by upgrading the bluetooth software but this is usually a pay for upgrade.
