cmis CDB file

any one know how to edit a CDB file? Is there a program I can use to make minor changes?

 

I know have to make a new one, just being lazy really.

Do you mean make a new DB? The cdb file is just a connection document, and if you need to edit it you can just copy it and make the changes.

yes you're right - but this isnt quite what I want to do. The long and short of it is I want to edit the cbd file to ammend one or two little details which i cant do in cmis then save.

 

I could create a new CDB from scratch, but was looking for a quite and easy method just to make a change.

Agree with kylewilliamson, for the length of time it takes to make a new connection it would be easier to do that.

 

What things need changed in a connection?

The CDB file only holds a few minor things such as the path of the DSN and the last dataset used, etc. Creating a new one is really a quick job.

The things such as size of windows, visible columns in list windows etc aren't stored in the CDB but in the ini files.
