When opening certain mimics (seems to be the more complicated ones) in Flowol v3, it hangs. No error messages, it just stops and the process has to be killed off to get rid of it.

This only happens on some machines, yet on other identical machines it's fine.

I've tried a repair install, un-installing and re-installing, copying the install folder from a working machine to a non-working machine and even a complete Windows re-install, but nothing seems to make any difference.

This happens under the local admin account, so probably not a permissions issue.

Anyone come across this and found a solution?

We are aware of a problem with a small number of graphics cards/drivers. Which graphics cards/drivers are present on the machines which exhibit this problem?

The affected machines all have SIS650 integrated graphics hardware and use SIS UniVGA3 driver v3.73.

Two of our ICT classrooms have identical hardware and were set up using a cloned ghost disk image, yet only a minority of the machines have this problem.

The SIS integrated graphics is one where we have seen this problem once before. Do you have any workstation screen viewing software installed, sometimes this messes with the graphics drivers? [Although that wouldn't explain why only some of the identically imaged machines are affected, unless the workstation viewing software was configured differently].

I do have a hotfix for this which I would like you to try. Can you e-mail me at [email protected] and I can have the hotfix sent to you?
