ICT TECHNICIAN

Full Time – 36 Hours per week

Required for October/November 2008

 

The Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) is the largest independent school group in the UK. South Hampstead High School is a flagship establishment and provides education for girls from 4 to 18 years

 

As part of the GDST we are an ambitious, forward-thinking school and require our ICT provision to exceed the high aspirations of our students, staff and parents.

 

The successful candidate will be a keen and motivated individual with a sound understanding of PC hardware, Microsoft Office and Windows XP. You will also be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

 

The post holder will:

  • Report to and work with the Site Network manager to support the ICT needs of the school;
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software.

An MCP qualification is desirable and knowledge of audio visual technologies is desirable.

 

The GDST support all technical staff in following approved Microsoft Certification programmes to continue their professional development.

Good Lord! Is that right!?

 

I used to work for a GDST school - really good crowd at the central office - really know their stuff. You're a little limited to some of the stuff you can do due to the central office, but I'd recommend working for one of their schools. And I certainly was not on 30k!! :mad:
