We have used Eset AV for many years and always found it works well.

We use Eset Endpoint Security with an Eset on-prem server although just to confuse matters Eset Endpoint Security is now called Eset Protect Entry. Eset have another AV called Eset Protect Advanced which does all sorts of wonderful stuff but we have never used it https://www.eset.com/int/business/offering-overview/

Our renewal is due soon and our Eset reseller has given us pricing for both Eset Protect Entry and Eset Protect Advanced. Apparently 80% of schools that use Eset AV are using Protect Advanced so wondering if this is true or a sales pitch?

Last time I was involved in an ESET renewal (quite a few years ago and outside edu) - we had a massive push from our vendor for us to take ESET Protect Advanced, so I wouldn't be surprised if it is a bit hammed up for the sales pitch. The cynic in me makes me think they want to be able to justify killing off the lower product tier.

That being said, I think the pricing delta for us was so small that it seemed like a no-brainer to have that added assurance against ransomware. Our budget was super tight but we squeezed it a bit for that.
