HaroonEdTechPro Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Hi there I am supporting an LGfLMail school (Don't start 😄) where Outlook desktop app for most users is not working, it keeps prompting for the password. I thought this could be the AutoDiscover reg key problem from a few years back, so applied this, but no change. Support Desk are pushing the buck to Microsoft. Has any one else had any problems within the last week with LGfL Mail not working on Outlook desktop app?
Koldov Posted January 13 Posted January 13 When did this start? I know LGfL have recently done some upgrading on their Exchange back-end, but I don't know when it happened as I got the email last month and haven't seen any disruption. Can users connect via the StaffMail/OWA? Are you running the desktop Outlook app as part of a full local Office install (and if so which version)? When you say 'most' users, are there any differences between who can/cannot access their mail through Outlook?
HaroonEdTechPro Posted January 13 Author Posted January 13 First user reported the problem last Thursday. As far as I can tell there is no difference, the version is the same. The update numbers match.
Koldov Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Seems I spoke too soon and jinxed myself... Outlook constantly prompting for password this morning!

Raised a support ticket on this and did the Escalate to LGfL… they said it’s a MS problem and they wouldn’t deal. I couldn’t see any Windows Updates or Office updates that could explain anything. I took this as an opportunity to move the school away from StaffMail to 365!
flipthebit Posted January 15 Posted January 15 (edited) I had this yesterday on only some PCs using Outlook. LGfL looked into it. Seems okay this morning. (crosses fingers). LGfL server upgrade related I think. Edited January 15 by flipthebit
