Creating New Accademic Year - Freezing SQL Database

Our SIMS officer is going through the curriculum processes for creating a new accademic year.

She is currently doing the 'mapping' (promoting year 7->8, 8->9 etc).

It takes about 5minutes to save her changes to the database and every time she does this the SQL database becomes unresponsive to everyone else, meaning no PARS (registration) or SIMs access.

 

Anyone else doing this? Ideas? Can anyone tell me the sims.net support forum address, ive lost it
