Leehilton90 Posted November 25, 2025 Posted November 25, 2025 Morning, We have moved from Sims to Bromcom this summer and are trying to figure out best practices. I wanted to know what other secondary schools do for assigning staff to exam invigilation? All the exams are set up, seating plans are complete, and classes are suspended. But we don't see any easy way to assign staff to the room to invigilate. Now we have spoken to Bromcom, but I wanted to see what other schools are actually putting into practice and if it works better. I would really appreciate anyone's process of doing this, thanks in advance.
bobsmith Posted November 27, 2025 Posted November 27, 2025 didn't school workforce reform put a stop to teachers doing invigilation? also pretty sure JCQ don't want subject teachers invigilating their own exams either....
Leehilton90 Posted November 27, 2025 Author Posted November 27, 2025 It's for internal mock examinations. Do you have any actual advice?
bobsmith Posted December 1, 2025 Posted December 1, 2025 yes - my exams officer pulls off the year 11 timetable (as an example) and then assigns the freed up staff on her spreadsheet. then we just email them to tell them to turn up. As they aren't taking registers they don't actually need to be assigned in Bromcom for our purposes.
