OneDrive blocking filetypes / file extensions and Sync

Is there a way to stop the errors for blocked file extensions for example with .exe files (please rename the item or remove it from your OneDrive) or to acknowledge them

and is there a good reason to block .exe files ? The dangerous files all seem to be zipped or password protected zipped or a PDF file with a link to an exe, zip etc

 

it seems correct to block them but they already exist locally or they wouldn't attempt to sync

Oh yes we have it blocked but wanted to either get rid of the Sync errors which will never resolve otherwise or maybe start allowing .exe files as might be an outdated block
