Looking at setting up Print Deploy for testing on Intune laptops.

a quick scan of the documentation mentions FDQN rather than IP address - does the FDQN have to be be external or would internal work fine?

For those using Intune/Papercut - how have you configured yours? Thinking for when staff are at home and wanting to print etc.

Cheers

We use IP address (although on Google ADS not InTune - but used to use InTune and used IP back in the day). Print Deploy does not work offsite unless you either make you Papercut server public - probably a bad idea or maybe use some sort of VPN.

For offsite you want mobility print which has a cloud printing option. Means people can print from any network.

Used IP address and as someone else has mentioned only works when on site. We are gradually moving our schools over to UniFLOW online which allows printing from anywhere and we're finding is generally better suited to us.

Managed to get print queues deployed - had to use the BYOD friendly print queues - which I am guessing uses a generic driver.

Need to look at changing the account selection from being done at the client to being done at the device.

Fingers crossed it fairly simple.
