NETLOGON stopped and shared drive issue

Hi,

 

We have an issue today were the Netlogon service on our DC keeps stopping, this then stops any shared drives being accessed by the end user. We can restart it again but that requires the user to log out and back in and it is happening at least every hour if not more. We have set the service to restart if it fails but it doesn't. Now these options are not available and it says If this service fails the computer will restart. Do anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

We have not seen this. Do your domain controllers have the latest cumulative update installed 2024-09? Microsoft's patching lately is getting worse and worse and the first port of call for me would be to see if it has been happening since a recent update was applied on the server. If not apply it, I know there were issues with domain controllers on a recent cumulative update but 2024-09 seems stable...
