Steve101 Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 We have a strange problem which appears almost random. It only ever occurs when a member of staff is switching user, once they get logged in Edge stops displaying websites. We are able to ping different sites using IP address and FQDNS. Anybody else experienced anything like this?
ZeroHour Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Do other browsers work? What proxy/windows version/av do you have?
ticktock Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 I've had this with Netsweeper and switch user. If a user is dormant (signed on that machine in the background) over a certain period of time it drops to the wrong filtering level or block completely.
Steve101 Posted June 20, 2024 Author Posted June 20, 2024 Yes we're using Netsweeper also. It's not time sensitive for us, I've managed to replicate it by logging in as one user, switching to another and the browsing stops. Doesn't work with Chrome or anything.
ticktock Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 Fair enough, thought it was worth a mention. At the time I contacted the LA and they changed a time out value at their end for connected clients on Netsweeper at our site and the problem went away. 1

Steve101 Posted June 21, 2024 Author Posted June 21, 2024 If anybody stumbles across this with the same problem, it turned out to be Senso.
