svelez Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Apologies if this has been answered before - I did search but can't quite find what I'm looking for. I'm creating a custom report (it has to be a custom report. I'm using command reporter to automate some things) that is student focused. I'm using the assessment results sub-report to create columns for Result and Aspect name. When I run the report, I get what I want, except I do not get any blank cells in the Result column (I do have 'Include records with no such result' ticked in the sub-report filter). I know that some results are missing, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to make SIMS output those results. It's only outputting results that do exist. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
bobsmith Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 it doesn't know they are missing if you're asking it for results and aspects. you'd only know they were missing but cross linking it to curriculum to see if they are studying a subject that there's no matched result for. 1
svelez Posted June 17, 2024 Author Posted June 17, 2024 That's really helpful, thank you. To clarify, what I need to look to do (broadly) is output class lists, match the results to those class lists, and then see if there are any blanks?
bobsmith Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 yeah - which is why there's actually a missing results function built in to the marksheets area. It will check EVERY column - even hidden ones - so you may need to make a version of the marksheet template which only includes the columns you're looking to check.
