bigstan48 Posted May 14, 2024 Posted May 14, 2024 Hi all, I'm looking for some advise on issues with Wi-Fi around the academy. We have around 20 UAP-AC-PRO AP's (all with the latest firmware) and most are running extremely slow. I am connected to the AP which is connected to the CORE switch (main internet connection connected in same switch) and the speed I am getting is 22 Kbps!!!! I wonder over to the caretakers room and am getting 40 Mbps!!! Any ideas what I can do to resolve this issue.
AlexRayner Posted May 14, 2024 Posted May 14, 2024 This may sound like I am listing off the basics but have you tried checking the physical cable/cables for damage connecting the slow AP to the core switch? Things I would usually look usually consist of any cable damage at all and have the ends been terminated correctly? Also has the speed always been slower on this AP that you have listed? Could you roll the firmware on one of those AP's back (To avoid bulk rolling back and potentially causing another issue maybe) to see if it is a issue with the newest version of the firmware that has been pushed out? Hope this makes sense/Helps a bit! 1
Cw2k Posted May 14, 2024 Posted May 14, 2024 We had a major performance issue with the latest firmware for SHD models, had to manual downgrade to a previous version to get things back to normal. Don’t know if that affects your model
RezolutionICT Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Worth checking which AP your connected to for testing purposes. Unify kit is very poor at roaming and stays connected to APs two rooms down the corridor. Not ideal. Also setup manual 5gh channels @ 40mhz bonding for all APs. Unify is also very bad at selecting Auto 5ghz channels. 1
