FN-GM Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 How can i create two sets of mandatory profiles please? I presume i would need one for vista and one for XP. But how would the client know which one to use? Thanks Z
Quackers Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Vista roaming profiles have a .V2 extention so i presume mandatory ones work the same, so you could have Administrator and Administrator.V2 . So i presume if there are 2 Vista would look for the mandatory profile with the .V2 at the end. How do you do your mandatory profiles? Default User in the Netlogon share? If so i'm guessing a Default User and a Default User.V2 in the netlogon share would solve it.
maniac Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 This Guide explains all about vista roaming profiles, and also how to use them in an XP mixed environment. Mike. 1

Gatt Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 (edited) Thanks Maniac - need this myself as I'll be working in a mixed XP/Vista environment, as well as a TS environement with Windows 2003 - cant use 2008 due to issues with Linux Thin Clients and RDP 6.1! Edited July 29, 2008 by Gatt
