Sims - In Touch Messaging

Hi

I just stumbled across the Sims In Touch Messaging module and wanted to know how comprehensive is the Data Fields -I am looking to send either SMS or Email to Parents with

attendance - over all percentage and a percentage for a defined period - (if a student is on contract to improve their attendance for an agreed period I want to be able to select the start date - end date)

I am also correct to assume that the In Touch module is an extra cost
