Hi

I am buying a new Lapsafe Mentor cabinets and there is the option to include in the cabinet 30 RJ45 sockets for each laptop.

The laptops will be wireless, but I was just wondering what other people have used the RJ45 sockets ?

Maybe, just for Wake On Lan or initially rolling out an image ?

Thanks

They are a waste of time to be honest. People don’t connect the laptops to the ports. Hard enough getting them to connect power!

The only network connectivity I want in my laptop trolley is something like a basic wireless controller, so I can configure/control the charging schedule of the devices in the trolley via a web portal instead of the always fiddly physical controls.
