Steve101 Posted April 26, 2024 Posted April 26, 2024 Those with iPads in circulation mainly in secondary schools, have you noticed students using the Focus feature to post rude and explicit message on the ipads? We're with Mosyle and they don't have access to be able to limit any changes made to this setting, wondering how other schools are dealing with it. 1

Yes same here but they only really use it to change the wallpaper. Common MDM's don't yet (as far as I'm aware) offer the ability to restrict focus. We use Jamf here. 1
jessica Posted April 26, 2024 Posted April 26, 2024 We had this problem as well as various other issues of kids messing around with the iPad settings (we had locked them down as much as we could). We have now solved all issues by putting them all into shared guest mode. It locks down the majority of settings so they can't mess around with them. If they do change something once the iPad has been locked for the timeframe set (we set ours to 5mins) it logs out that session and resets all settings to the default. Has saved us so much time. 1
