Hi All,

Hope everyone is well, our school is currently in the middle of rolling out sharepoint as our main way of sharing information.

I have setup pages for each subject, these pages will be accessed by students and staff. What is the best practice way of handling permissions?

Currently my plan is to set all students to be "Visitors" so that they have read only access, Teachers as Members (So they can edit) and IT as Owners

We base permissions off our Department Teams. So for Example English Team (English Staff Department Team) will have Ownership of the English Subject Site (As well as admin), Members of the Team will be Members to the subject site, and then we just add 'Everyone' as a visitor, as I see no problem guests, supply staff etc all being able to access the subject sites the same as students.

By using the Team Groups, then you only have one 'English' group to manage membership wise.
