robyholmes Posted February 29, 2024 Posted February 29, 2024 Hi, It seems our students are managing to download HTML games (Either in school or at home), then opening them in Edge or Chrome. Something we can't block via the web filter, as it's just a local file. I can block this via Chrome & Edge ADMX using the 'Block access to list of URLs' and entering 'file://*' but this blocks being open to view downloaded PDF files. I can't seem to find a way to allow this, or say just block local .htm or .html files? We can't block the files being stored as we're using OneDrive for storage, so no central storage. Any ideas? Rob
mavhc Posted March 1, 2024 Posted March 1, 2024 there's blocked url exceptions, can you put files://*.pdf in there? Or just install a pdf viewer

Or just install a pdf viewer I think I already tried putting that in the allow list, or putting files://*.html (And .htm) in the blocked list, but it either blocks all files, or nothing.
