jmak Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 Has anyone ever used QNAP switches? I'm looking for a switch to support 25Gb SFP connections on an isolated network, so no advanced management or integration with other switches needed. The price seems too good to be true, but although I've never seen QNAP n network kit, it's a well known enough brand I'd expect them to work. https://www.qnap.com/en/product/qsw-m5216-1t Coming in at around £1k.
synaesthesia Posted February 16, 2024 Posted February 16, 2024 Not something I'd really want to see, IMO you always need to stick with a known quantity. In your scenario I'd suggest something along the lines of UniFi or even the FS.com switches which are both far more suitable.

They're all generic linux switches AFAICT, that's what keeps the cost down.
