Remote Powershell 365

I'm trying to remote into 365 using powershell and getting an error. It used to work fine but not done this for 12 months or more so need help

 

So I ran the Microsoft Exchange Online Powershell Module which wanted to update so after the update I entered the command Connect-IPPSSession -UserPrincipalName @xxxxxxx.xxxxxx.sch.uk into the powershell window, then the password all as normal. I got the 2FA prompt on my mobile, everything looks fine then the error

I remember reading something was going to change with 365 and powershell but not sure now as it was a while ago. I'm assuming I need to reinstall using the latest version?

Instead of using Connect-IPPSSession you should be able to use the "Connect-ExchangeOnline" command instead. This will allow access to the new exchange module.

Yes you are correct, I was using outdated commands I followed this guide https://theadmin365.com/how-to-connect-to-exchange-online-using-powershell-in-office-365/
