newpersn Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 Hello, I have been tasked to share 1 schools departmental drive with ourselves (We are looking after a few services for them and have access to there documents without having to use Terminal server or anything else) Now i have been playing around with Teams/SharePoint and have managed to get a sync working between us - the downside to this that OneDrive gets unhappy and gets stuck on looking for changes or uploading x of xx and doesn't do anything. I'm using a server with OneDrive/Teams installed Shares that we are trying to get are on a local server - using a mklink command to make it appear local on the server that's syncing it. Is there a better way of doing this? Seems to be teams taking ages for files to appear?! Thanks
robyholmes Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 NAS box with a file sync app maybe? Likely to get conflicts but they normally carry on syncing other files and folders. Just a bit of manual conflict resolution required ever now and then.
mavhc Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 Is this a one way sync? If not then it's not going to work and you should share the whole thing using sharepoint itself
