Microsoft Teams - Creating Teams

Hi all,

 

Have a school where the deputy head says she cannot create a new team. The option to create a new team is greyed out. However, teaching staff say they all can. This is odd, as new M365 users get all the same permissions. Anyone come across this before ?

 

Do you have to give the deputy head 'Teams Administrator' permissions ? If so, this is strange as teaching staff say they can create new a team anyway and they have basic permissions.

 

Any ideas most welcome.

By default everyone can create Groups (inc Teams) but you can restrict that ability to a single group.

 

Sounds as though this has been done and the Deputy is not in this special group.

 

This is a Powershell command and not visible in the Admin Centre
