Shared Mailboxes in New Outlook

Shared Mailboxes in New Outlook (M365 App) have moved into a folder called "shared with me". Can no longer add their inbox to favourites or reference them with rules as far as I can tell and it takes 2 clicks to see if there's new mail. This is a major problem for shared mailboxes like "report a concern" where people have to remember to manually check them. Might have to rethink shared mailboxes altogether.

 

A "helpdesk" for it might be more user friendly actually now that I think about it. Anyone else having this issue?

Not personally, 'we' (by that I mean SLT) have just decided to 'go Google/GMail'.... I'm sure that will be fun managing my 6 email accounts in a GMail interface that looks like it was designed in the late 80s for 5 year old children (reminds me of Yahoo *shudder*), annoyingly I can't seem to manage to get GMail accounts into Outlook (LTSC 2021)...

 

 

Anyway, I do remember seeing another post about it.... maybe someone there has a better solution worked out now?

I wasn't until you mentioned it.

 

I also hadn't noticed that it has no offline mode [emoji2962]

 

They've said "coming soon" since September last year for that and it's still not here. Unified inbox isn't even on the roadmap, so probably isn't going to happen.
