Squelch Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Good morning everyone, We have finally got Veeam M365 backup and I need to find somewhere in the cloud for object storage. We don't have much data, currently 2.56TB. My limited understanding is that I need space for a full backup (maybe two) plus incremental and then to overwrite that data monthly? Our 365 data is backed up onsite in two separate buildings using Synology NAS's and now on the Veeam server. Please guide me on how much storage I need and where to buy it from. Please use short sentences and small words (as if I've never had to do this before). Thanks in advance.

A very similar thread here: https://www.edugeek.net/forums/cloud-services/234624-wasabi-some-quick-questions.html We use Backblaze's S3 (Amazon) compatible storage (i.e. like Amazon S3, but cheaper). $6 per TB per month (pricing is in US dollars, although they do have a EU-located storage facility). We do weekly full backups with daily incrementals, so storing a month's of backups will be around 3TB * 4 + a bit = maybe 15TB, so maybe around £70 a month? To protect against ransomeware attacks we use Backblaze's immutable storage feature, where you can set your storage to be immutable for a certain amount of time after being written, so malware (hopefully) can't overwrite your backups. From that other thread, @dmj mentiones Google's archive storage, which does look cheaper - I'll maybe have a look at that myself. 1
