MickS Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 Hi Apologies first off but I am very inexperienced with MECM. The system has been running fine for a couple of years but now, when I deploy Applications to clients, any client on our local network receives and installs the Application fine. However, if a client is off-site (ie at a users home) and connected to our network via a VPN, the Application sits at 'Downloading 0%' and doesn't get any further. If I check the CAS.log on a machine where the Application won't install, it states 'Download request only, ignoring location update' whereas, on a client where the software installs successfully, it states 'Matching DP location found 0...'. There have been no changes made within MECM, prior to this fault occurring, which I can think would cause this issue. Any help, greatly appreciated! Thanks
Steve21 Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 Is this only for new deployments? There are a number of options when doing deployments that refer to things like what happens with downloads when not in boundary groups. So depending on what your VPN IPs and boundaries etc are it might mean they don’t deploy unless you tick the option for it to do sk while outside the boundaries Steve
MickS Posted July 7, 2023 Author Posted July 7, 2023 Hi Steve No, this is happening with any Application I deploy, including ones which have been in the system for some time and worked fine previously. All of the boundary groups were set up by a Consultant when he configured the system initially so I have had no involvement with them. If I look at the groups, they all refer to our sites with IP addresses beginning 10.x so there are no groups which refer to anything with an Assigned local IP address of 172.x, which our users' devices have when they connect through using Global Protect as our VPN. However, we have never had a boundary group for these IP addresses and everything worked fine previously.
