Veeam RECOVERY CHECKPOINT showing in Hyper-V mnager

I noticed last night that one of my VMs has a Veeam Recovery Checkpoint, but it's showing in Hyper-V manager. I left it overnight in case I'd interrupted it doing something and it would merge itself away afterwards, but it's still there today...

 

Honestly, I can't be sure how long it's been there as I don't look in the Hyper-V Manager application very often (or at all really unless there's a problem).

 

Veeam is run on the HOST and I've looked in there for any errors and not found any mention of this checkpoint. In the backup history the last issues I had were in May and I guess it could have been there since, but it was a general Veeam issue and affected all the VMs, this is the only one with a checkpoint...

 

Question are: Do I delete it and hope it merges? Can I just delete it without merging? Why is Hyper-V showing a Veeam checkpoint?

Before deleting any check points I’d normally advise just shutting down the server/restarting overnight (or day obviously if downtime isn’t a problem)

 

This would normally cause it to retry the merge “properly” and seems if it can fix itself without deleting it that way
