1975 IT job advert

These jobs at Rolls Royce were a half page advert in a 1975 newspaper published by Luton Town FC (in the old Division 2 now Championship at the time)

For reference the salaries work out in todays money as:

Systems Analyst to £37,595

Programmer to £29,239

Trainee Programmer to £22,557

 

A decade later I started training on IBM mainframe on £6495 (£18,956) in London.

Goodness - average house price was around £9.5k then!

 

(And a basic Roller was about £14.2k)
