chrome flex will not show a date of update expiry

Hi All.

 

I have put Chrome Flex onto a GEO notebook to test it out. All appears to work, however, when you click the clock, settings etc and try and look at the AUE there is nothing listed in that section. I can see channels and build details, nothing for the expiry of updates though.

 

The laptop is able to receive updates currently.

 

Any support greatly appreciated , ty.

Hi - You won't see these on ChromeOS Flex, but I've been going by the "Certified models" list on Google's support site

All of the devices we've put it on are on that list, so we're covered there - But I've also put it on a Geobook like yourself & it appears to work fine - But you run the risk that it'll break one day & Google will ignore you when asking for support.

No afraid not - Geobooks are what we called the "Aldi special" here as they are some of the most bargain basement devices we saw during the lockdowns!

I don't deploy ours anywhere anymore as they have a fairly major bios bug (Run the battery down and the setup password goes away!)
