Smoothwall Certificicates

We currently have Fortinet firewall/moniutor and moving to smoothwall this summer.

 

All our students have byod iPads and we have never used the deep packet inspection so haven't needed syduetns to install a certificate.

 

However with smoothwall we are going to be doing this, so will need them to install the certificate.

 

How does everyone who does this get the certofocater to the devices? With papercut we emailed all students a weblink to install that profile

We got them to install it using a link to the inbuilt http://smoothwallip/getmitm page with the oldest year group first to have it enforced

There are MDMs for iPad that can be used to push out the certificate as well. The builtin page is good for BYOD devices in general.
