MECM Removable Drive Bitlocker policy

Hi,

 

I'm currently in the testing process of implementing bitlocker for removable drives via MECM.

 

I have the policy set to force encryption of a removable device however the recovery key is being stored against the device within MECM. I also have a problem whereby I'm unable to remove the option for 'recovery key backup'.

 

Has anyone implemented Bitlocker using MECM solely without the recovery key being stored against a device?

 

We have previously successfully used MBAM but are looking to move away from this solution.
