SIMS Intouch - Unicode - Ukranian messages coming up as ????? ????

Hi all, we have a few foreign students who don't have good English skills, same with their carers, we have been using Google Translate and other methods to communicate.

However we have started using SIMS Intouch, but whenever we get a message that isn't in Latin script (e.g. cyrillic characters) the message just comes up as ??? ?????? question marks?

Even running an Intouch Report brings up the ???'s so we cannot translate the messages at all.

 

Does Intouch really not support Unicode, is there a way to get the original characters at all?
