Activating Intune trial

Hi,

 

The school that I work at are looking at one-to-one device leasing. I'm interested in using Intune to manage these devices, but have no experience with Intune and want to have a go with the trial. Would it cause any problems down the line if I activate the 30 day trial on the schools O365 tenant? Is there any other way of tinkering with Intune without adding it to the main school tenant?

Create a trial O365 tenant? This will let you 'play around' with the features before burning your own trial. You can then look to using the trial licences in your live O365 tenant to set up and test your real deployment on your tenant.

 

In the longer term I'd also look at a Visual Studio Pro subscription, what used to be called a MSDN subscription if I remember rightly. I use this where I am now (currently working in my test tenant today actually to test some stuff before live deployment) and used it when I worked in education. It actually gives you the 'proper' paid for licences, azure credits, etc, that you need to set up and test a lot of stuff before trying to take it into production use.
