enbiggen Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 Two weeks ago ClassCharts released an updated version of their teacher app. As our iPads have progressively updated to it, the app no longer sees an internet connection. I've received the latest list of sites to not filter from ClassCharts, but it hasn't done the trick yet. Is anyone else having the same issues (we use Smoothwall for filtering), and has anyone else had any success getting it to work? If so, could you pass on your findings? (I wasn't quite sure of the category to put this under, but most of my searches for ClassCharts gave results in "MIS Systems".) Cheers, Enbiggen
Chockster Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 We had exactly the same thing. I don't think it likes the https inspection much. I ended up building a category in smoothwall with the classcharts sites and left it uninspected. 1
enbiggen Posted December 9, 2022 Author Posted December 9, 2022 Thanks - unfortunately I've already also added it to our HTTPS don't inspect list too. I don't suppose you could copy and paste a list of the URLs that you whitelisted/didn't intercept - just in case it's different from the list ClassCharts gave us? Cheers, Enbinggen
enbiggen Posted December 9, 2022 Author Posted December 9, 2022 I got a block on "clients3.google.com", which online is usually for Chromecast (according to my check online). Temporarily allowing this through got to the app's login page, but I've disabled it again. I've emailed Class Chart's support asking what it's used for, and what the minimum URL we'd need to let their app function.
Chockster Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 (edited) Sorry, been a busy day. Here's the list: 195ec04504ea0272771e-7c2c6dacbab7a2b2d574b53c70c1fe31.ssl.cf3.rackcdn.com android.classcharts.com attachments.classcharts.com cdn.datatables.net cdn.jsdelivr.net cdnjs.cloudflare.com classcharts.com files.classcharts.com help.edukey.co.uk ios.classcharts.com js.pusher.com pages.classcharts.com As we're a google school there's a lot of stuff already allowed, so that google url is included in out chromebook section.
