jmak Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 I'm trying to create an answer file for WDS deployment using ADK and it fails at the point of building a catalog file with the error: This application requires version 10.0.22000.1 The version of ADK I have is 10.1.22000.1 I tried an earlier version from the MS download page and it was 10.1.19041.1 and have the error This application requires version 10.0.19041.1 I have the install.wim file imported from an iso for Windows 10 Pro build 19044 (i.e. 21H2 edition). Any ideas? I can't find the version it suggests other than on some random websites which doesn't sun like the ideal starting point for a new windows deployment.
Steve21 Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Isn’t 10.1 for windows 11? Are you sure you have the Win10 adk? Don’t use MDT directly as SCCM, but wondering if its not compatible with the 11 version for what you need? Steve 1
jmak Posted May 3, 2022 Author Posted May 3, 2022 Have to admit I thought I'd chosen the Windows 11 version as it said it was backwards compatible, but I uninstalled that and have now reinstalled from the ADK for Windows 10 page and the version that's installed is called "Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit - Windows 10" It's version 10.1.19041.1 - not the first version I installed but I have already tried this one ... Throwing error message as before with log showing "This application requires version 10.0.19041.1 of the Windows ADK
jmak Posted May 5, 2022 Author Posted May 5, 2022 Still stuck on this if anyone has any other ideas? Current plan is to prepare stuff in MDT, but I had hoped to avoid that as all I want is a bare Windows install, no customisations with OOBE disabled. I'd expected to be able to do that using WDS only.
