I have no idea if that's normal.) Preview.. Configuration Manager returned 2 updates. Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - v5.98 (KB89030) Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - v5.99 (KB89030) ... that's it. No other updates. Now I don't know about you, but I'd imagine that there have been a few server updates since Server 2012, y'know? Call me paranoid... Compare this to my end-user devices updates ADR: Language: "English" Product: "Windows 10" OR "Windows 10, version 1903 and later" OR "Windows 10, version 1903 and later" Superseded: No Update Classification: "Critical Updates" OR "Definition Updates" OR "Security Updates" OR "Update Rollups" OR "Updates" (Again we have some of the product options appearing twice, because.. reasons?) Preview.. Configuration Manager returned 238 updates. What on earth have I missed that means my MECM box doesn't see any Server updates?
Linfit Posted March 21, 2022 Posted March 21, 2022 Where are you specifying the classifications and products ? From memory, it needs to be done in the Software Update Point Component Properties as well as in any Automated Deployment rules. If the software Update point is not configured to check for Server updates it will not pull any down, even if the Deployment rules specify them. 1
Garacesh Posted March 22, 2022 Author Posted March 22, 2022 Knew it would be something simple! Of course I hadn't set that to download the server stuff yet, I was testing deploying it to end-user devices first.
Garacesh Posted March 30, 2022 Author Posted March 30, 2022 Hmm.. Just revisited this one, MECM still isn't seeing server updates. I had hoped it was that simple a solution and I'd missed nothing else but nope, something appears to still be a bit screwy™ Sync is set to every 7 days so it should have definitely seen them by now..
Linfit Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Hmm. The one thing about SCCM, or whatever its called this week, is it logs everything. Probably need to go burrowing and find out what its actually doing or not doing - C:\Program Files\Microsoft Configuration Manager\Logs is the usual location although YMMV. Useful lsit of the log files and what they record here: https://www.prajwal.org/sccm-software-updates-log-files/
