Ditto Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 Techradar are doing an affiliate link to iDrive offering 10TB, the cloud storage the recommend as #1. Cost $4 year 1, then nearer $80. I expect it is more appropriate to domestic use, but I think there was an old post where someone was using iDrive in school. I've been considering cloud storage for personal backups and with fttp 900MB now, I believe it's more viable. Is anyone using iDrive? What do you think of them and the offer?
SimpleSi Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 I've used them for a year but although according to my account information, my renewal date is Dec 22 - I just received an email saying because I haven't clicked on autorenewal - my account has been cancelled! So at moment, I've lost all access to my backup data without warning! I received a prior email to this last week saying that if I enabled auto-renewal - I'd get 75% off (with specifying off what YMMV
SimpleSi Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 PEBKAC mis-read my renewal date as 3rd December when it was 12th March
Ditto Posted March 16, 2022 Author Posted March 16, 2022 Do you think you will stay with them or look at other options?
SimpleSi Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 Not planning on renewing with them - gave it a go at the introductory price but I found their management website to be a bit sparse. 1
