Koldov Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 For various reasons I still have a few machines running LTSB (1607), for similar reasons I have .NET 3.5 on these machines. Updates are controlled by WSUS. Now, I'm aware that the mainstream support end date was Oct 12, 2021 - but I just recently noticed that the other Windows versions get CUs for .NET 3.5, 4.7.2 and 4.8. Looking through the WSUS updates, I have only ever had CUs for .NET 4.8 pulled down in WSUS for the 1607 machines. I have researched a little and found this on the Microsoft Update Catalog: 2022-02 Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.7.2 for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64 (KB5011329) https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=kb5011329 However, I have also found some articles that suggest this is just some sort of 'out of band' update, for a specific problem. So the question remains why am I not getting CUs for .NET 3.5 and 4.7.2 for LTSB/1607...? Maybe because .NET 3.5 isn't natively installed on a fresh copy of 1607, does this mean I will always have to manually search for these updates?
