Offsite Web Filtering - DfE devices - Costs

Hi,

 

I've been asked to get some prices for web filtering for our DfE devices. All am looking for at the minute is a price per user/device so the school can make a decision on our next move.

 

Would anyone be able to share what they are paying for say Umbrella or something similar?

What's your on-site filter? If you have a Smoothwall, the Smoothwall extension works pretty well.

We pay £3 per iPad for Lightspeed, with almost 2000 devices.

It didn't cost me anything. I asked nicely for the Smoothwall Cloud Filter, they'll need to set something up and from there you create a Smoothwall app in Azure. Then add Azure as an additional directory on your on-site, and it all syncs up.

Per year, its an extra 65p per device for Alert.
