Allowing teacher publishing rights? What now?

Right, I think I have joomla edugeek 1.5 up and running on our server properly. No I need to know how I can set up a teacher or teachers to be able to add or edit articles without any help from me.

I can create a user as an author, editor or publisher BUT I cannot work out how they can then create an article an add it to a particular area.

I can see how a user can add an article to the front page but not how they could for example how an art teacher could add an article to the art page!

 

Does anyone do this and if so can they give me any pointers?

On the user menu once their logged in, they can submit school news.

 

This allows them to add a new article and decide which section/category it goes into

 

So create a section called Departments and then a category for Art

 

Create a new menu item and make it point to an Article - Category Blog type and make sure it points to your Art category.

 

Create the 1st article for Art and put it in the Art Category.

 

When users use the Submit school news, they can select the Department section and the Art Dept and their article will automatically be added to their page.
