The University of Gloucestershire is looking to appoint a First Line IT Technician within its Library, Technology & Information Service (LTI) department. The LTI Technician post is a member of the IT Operations Team, providing a technical resolution service for any IT query escalated from our Service Desk team. It is imperative that you have good technical knowledge of PC and Mac hardware/software to be successful in this position, along with a working knowledge of mobile phone technology, basic networking, Wi-Fi connectivity and audio-visual equipment.

 

The successful candidate will have exceptional customer service skills and the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work as part of a team. They will need to possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to work using their own initiative. A degree of flexibility to meet the occasional demand to cover an event during evening or weekend hours along with working at all University campuses is required.

 

Experience of troubleshooting IT problems in a similar customer-facing role would be beneficial.
