How do I display a gallery of pics, something like <pics>

I have in the past displayed a directory of pics in an article by putting the directory details in between some tags but I cannot for the life of me remember what they were.

 

EDIT:

It's {gallery} {/gallery} but I don't think it's in 1.5!

 

Can someone please remind me what they are?

Principally_Speaking has covered this already, but it's worth saying again:

 

FWIW, the copy of 1.5.3 that I downloaded on June 3 did not include the Simple Image Gallery plug-in. It is available at JoomlaWorks | The Joomla! & Mambo Professionals

 

You download the zip file, and then use the Extensions -> Install/Uninstall men to install it.

 

The galleries work fine in 1.5 - I've got them working at http://www.ashlandsfirstschool.co.uk
