FN-GM Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 Hello, Could we look at renaming this forum to something a little more current. A PDA is pretty historic now. A Netbook was a mini x86 computer so personally I think it shouldn't have been in here in the first place. People keep placing iPad related posts in the Mac forum. Probably because there isn't anything else suitably named. Maybe we could name it something like: "Tablets & Smartphones"? Cheers
Ironside Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 I would agree with this but admins have previously said that it would affect SEO significantly as a reason as to why it can't be done, and I think most long-term users of edugeek can adapt to the antequated naming scheme.
Dos_Box Posted September 21, 2021 Posted September 21, 2021 It's planned for the upgrade as well as some other forums being merged/renamed. As @Ironside said, it's to do with SEO and we'd get hammered by the gods of Google if we were to do it offhand, but as the site upgrade will cause a lot of SEO annoyance we've left it until now. We also learnt a very valuble lesson about naming a forum with specific technologies. It will be renamed to something like 'Handheld/Portable Computing and Phones'.
Alis_Klar Posted March 20, 2025 Posted March 20, 2025 I'm sure your aware of how odd PDA looks already but just adding my weight to the suggestion. Also +1 for the InTune MDM forum.

ZeroHour Posted March 20, 2025 Posted March 20, 2025 We will be working through the forums soon reorganising once I have got through any major day 1 issues. 👍 1
