TacoMx Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 Hello, I have an issue with MDT since their last update : it happen between 90-100% of the deployment. i don't have any useful log (the deployment doesn't finish ) So, to explain a bit better, for my work i have 2 type of pc : Old pc (<2020) and new pc (>2020) This bug appear only with new pc. Old pc working fine. The procedure is exactly the same for both. MDT and ADK has the latest version. I tried almost everything i found related to this error (5624), the uefi fix, old mdt version, "continue on error" with task sequence but nothing works. I got this problem for month, i was hoping there would be a fix someday but no. I have to use old pc, upadte my image on them, then deploy this image on new pc but i lose a lot of time. I would just want to make an image from my new pc, then deploy it on the other new. I saw may be it happen cause of DISM but what is the difference between new pc and old pc ? A settings in the bios may be ? Sorry for the english i hope you will understand
silvestre Posted August 11, 2021 Posted August 11, 2021 From the error it looks like you need to add your network drivers form the new pc in your boot image
TacoMx Posted August 12, 2021 Author Posted August 12, 2021 Hello, I already tried but nothing has change. The thing i don't understand is that it fail only with "new" pc. That would mean the error doesn't come from the Windows version 21h1 or 20h2 but from a settings inside the pc right ? I can make an image of a Dell latitude 5480 for example, with 21h1 --> no problem If i do exactly the same on a 5490, it will fail. My 5480 has the latest drivers, bios up to date of course so their should be no difference between them... I really don't get. Thank you for your answer
silvestre Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 What did you try? Did you add drivers ? Where did you add the drivers ?
TacoMx Posted August 12, 2021 Author Posted August 12, 2021 In the out-of-box drivers section of mdt. I tried the full set drivers of my model and only the ethernet driver but either way it is the same result. I deploy my image with a flash drive. For information, i tried to deploy the image in a vm but same error.
silvestre Posted August 12, 2021 Posted August 12, 2021 Add the Ethernet drivers to the boot image for that particular model

TacoMx Posted August 13, 2021 Author Posted August 13, 2021 I got 10 errors and 2 warnings instead of 10 errors and 5 warning, but it still bug at the same moment (around 90%)
TacoMx Posted August 13, 2021 Author Posted August 13, 2021 Yes, i even tried the adk for W11, older ADK, but still same error.
TacoMx Posted September 15, 2021 Author Posted September 15, 2021 (edited) After 10 000 try i finally found the problem : kb5005101 ( optional... next time i ll not bother with these optional update!!!!)
