[sims] SIMS.net SQL Migration App - error

I have a copy of our SIMS.net VM running on an isolated test lab so I can run the SQL 2016 Migration wizard and test migrating to a new server.

 

Migration starts to run but after approx 20 mins it fails with a timeout error and leave the database in single user mode.

 

I then have to set the database back to multi user mode before I can use it again.

 

Anyone done the migration and had similar issues?

 

Have just logged a ticket with Capita/[insert new company name] - so while I wait for them to reply, thought I would ask on here.

Not that I’ve done it recently but generally any SQL timeout around 16 minutes would suggest you don’t have the timeout in your connect ini increased to the maximum

 

Do you still have it around 1000?

Yep still on 1000.

 

Didnt realise the connect.ini was used on the migration app.

 

Will change it when it later and give it a go.
