As IT Network Manager, you will line manage the friendly, customer focussed IT Support Team to ensure a high quality technical service for daytime and evening learners and college events. The post-holder will manage the Information Learning Technology (ILT) Development Plan and the college’s network tools/software and server infrastructure. Implementing procedures that keep the primary servers operational, maintaining high system resilience and performance. The ability to manage resources to deliver strong technical support and innovative development is key. Strong people skills are also important, as the role will require work across the college’s academic, pastoral and administrative teams to maintain a professional, secure, high quality IT user experience. In addition, the role will require meticulous budget management skills for the tendering and procurement of IT goods and services. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a friendly, creative technical environment which encourages personal development and celebrates innovation and strong customer service. The hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm with 1 hour unpaid break each day. In addition, the post may require occasional out of office hours work to solve IT issues or support evening events, the equivalent time off in lieu can be taken. We would welcome applicants with or without education or sixth form college experience. Our expectation is that candidates would have to a minimum of HND level or equivalent IT professional qualifications. Salary: Point 21 to 25 on the Support Staff Pay Scale dependent on skills and experience. This is an annual salary of £31,043 – £34,469 for a full time post.
